THE EARLY YEARS
Capt. Aerich Oliver's reputation proceeds him and everyone in the Texas Coastal Bend is familiar with him and his legendary grandpa, Capt. Charlie Newton! He's been fishing since he could hold a pole and has learned everything his grandpa could teach him to include how to treat people and be polite and fair! All told, he has more experience than the most seasoned fishing captains and knows the bay systems like the back of his hand! 3 weeks after turning 18, he earned his place among the best with a USCG Captain's license to become (at the time), the youngest guide in the Texas Coastal Bend! He loves his job... and it shows!!!

For the last 5 years, I have continued in my grandfather's tradition of providing an excellent day on the water. Young or old, new or experienced, I have provided countless trips to people that want to get out on the water to catch fish. His grandfather is still a very important part of his life, and he and his grandpa enjoy the end of the day to talk about the day's adventure and the people he took fishing! If you're lucky, you might even get to meet his grandpa (Capt. Charlie) at the fish cleaning table!!!
EXPERIENCED TOURNAMENT GUIDE
There's nothing quite like guiding for customer in a fishing tournament. You wake-up early, hit the water before sunrise and head out to the best fishing spots. Only Capt. Aerich knows where these are! guiding for competitions is highly competitive and you only have a set number of hours to weigh-in with your best catches in order to win the trophy! It's great fun and the Coastal Bend offers many tournaments throughout the year! Just ask the captain and he can tell you all about it! there are even children's tournament that are fun!!
