Yes, you heard right!  Capt. Aerich is adding a new service to the Redfish Charters roster! If you aren’t already familiar with “Flounder Gigging”, it is a unique way to catch a flat fish that is one of the best tasting-fish in the world!  

Flounder are "gigged" at night when the temperatures are cooler, using a very unique, pitchfork-like pole.  Everything you need for a successful night of gigging is provided and the boat is equipped with high-intensity lamps that shine down into the water, so you can easily see the flounder hiding in the shallow,, soft and sandy bay bottoms.

 Please bring your own ice chest 48qt. or smaller with your favorite soft  drinks/snacks. 

PLEASE LIMIT ALCOHOL TO ONE 6-PACK PER PERSON, NO GLASS  CONTAINERS AND NO HARD LIQUOR.

Trips depart at sunset until limited-out or the customer is ready to head-in. Max people on the boat is 4 people plus the captain.  Limit is 5 flounder per person that are larger than 15″.  If you have any questions, call Beverly (Captain’s Aerich’s  grandma) and she’ll be happy to confirm your reservation date and answer your questions!

Families with children always welcome – all ages allowed for this trip! Younger kids might get tired and since they’re on a boat there is less to keep them entertained – but Capt. Aerich does his best to make sure that everyone has a fun time fishing for flounder!!

Capt. Aerich is a pro at not only finding the flounder but gigging 'em too!  He'll teach you exactly how this is done!    One can only imagine the beauty of the water at night and when there’s a moon above, it is truly an exceptional and relaxing way to catch fish.  

Keep a clean ice chest in your vehicle to carry your flounder home!  The captain will clean & bag-up your catch.

Max boat capacity is 4 + the Captain $200 Deposit is Required.

We depart around Sunset and the captain well let you know what time  and where to board the boat!  We will fish until you're limited out or until you're ready to head back to shore or until you're limited out!

State law requires that you have a valid Texas Fishing License with a Saltwater Stamp. You must have this license before boarding the boat; available at Walmart, HEB, many convenience stores, and local tackle shops.
