"The tug  is the drug" when it comes to catching these enormous fish!  The slot size for keeping this delicious species is 25".

The really "gigantic" black drum are swimming thru the channel when we cast-out and wait... then the line goes taught and you are fighting with a beast of a fish!!!!  Very exhilarating!!

It can take up to 20 minutes to reel one of these monsters up and the photo ops are awesome!  Black drum - 30" or larger may be brought up for a fe photos, but then state law says they must be released back into the water to fight another day!

Note: You can not keep oversized drum but the memory of the day and photos taken, will last a lifetime!
